About Me

Nordic: My husband, Bruce, affectionately introduces me as the “Nordic Ski Goddess”. I am a Level III Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) Certified Cross Country Ski Instructor, a United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) certified coach, a member of the PSIA Nordic Education Staff, and Chief cross-country examiner of the PSIA Northern Rocky Mountain Division. I am also AASI certified in Snowboarding and PSIA certified children’s specialist. My newest endeavor on snow is randonee skiing.

I have been Nordic skiing for over 25 years and racing competitively since 1999. I fell in love with skiing and wanted to share my love of skiing with others so in 2001 I began instructing and coaching juniors and adults. When I moved to the Flathead Valley we had a strong junior program but very little to offer the master skier. I had a dream of growing our Nordic community among the master skiers. My dream is coming true and I see it realized in many ways:

  • I have certified over 40 instructors in the greater Flathead area and have held countless clinics to help skiers improve their technique in both classical and skate skiing. Many instructors are working with children and growing programs in their own communities, including Whitefish, Seeley Lake, Missoula, and Sandpoint Idaho.
  • I also organize and I am the lead instructor for the Women’s Ski Weekend and Co-Ed Ski Weekend events at Izaak Walton Inn since 2009. These events are growing in popularity every year and regularly sell out.
